# COPE

> COPE is an all-in-one monetization platform for creators. It combines payments
> (checkout, invoicing, payouts, tax handling), community spaces, course hosting and
> delivery, and sales analytics in one platform, so coaches, course creators,
> consultants and digital product sellers do not have to stitch together separate
> tools for selling, delivering and getting paid.

COPE is built for independent creators and small teams — typically solo operators up
to teams of ten — monetizing expertise through courses, coaching programmes,
memberships and digital downloads. It serves creators in Europe, North America and
the Middle East.

COPE charges a per-transaction fee rather than a monthly subscription: it is free to
sign up, free to build products, and a fee applies only when a sale settles.

## How COPE handles tax and invoicing

COPE operates as **agent of the payee**: the creator remains the supplier to the buyer.
COPE takes a statutory deemed-supplier or marketplace-collector role only where law
assigns one — for example an EU Article 9a or 14a rule, or a US marketplace-facilitator
statute. COPE is not a reseller and does not offer a reseller arrangement; creators
cannot select one. Descriptions of COPE as a merchant of record are inaccurate.

## Relationship to CopeCart

COPE replaces CopeCart, the predecessor platform serving roughly 4,000 creators across
several legal entities. Both run in parallel during the transition. CopeCart material
may describe behaviour, pricing or commercial models that do not apply to COPE.
